OUTSTANDING COMMAND PLAYER AWARD:
=================================

Markku Herd (XO, USS ANDROMEDA)- As was explained to me: "...the man is
a saint, helping way past the requirements of an XO. If there is a place
for good XO's in heaven, he is assured of a front seat." I don't think
anything further needs to be said.

Jenna Povey (XO, USS EXCALIBUR)- As the XO she has been always
working to keep on the mission even in the worst moments. She is
always a support for the rest of the crew.

Mary McNeely (CO, USS AMBERJACK)- ASR currently has a wide range
of unit styles in terms of interaction and pace. Very few ASR Units
can come close to matching the significant level of interaction and
energy, enthusiasm, and competent writing that USS AMBERJACK
possesses under the leadership and command of Mary McNeely. Mary's
energy and enthusiasm not only propels the other people on her unit,
it also inspires others aware of her efforts to do more. ASR has
many fine people contributing these days in command positions and
elsewhere, but none come close to taking care of business as Mary
McNeely; ASR no one currently is as committed, as accessible, as
talented and valuable as Mary McNeely. Mary is one of ASR's Most
Outstanding Player this year and that is an opinion shared by
multiple ASR contributors.

Edward Bell (CO, SB SAIKAI) and Anna Cordray (XO, SB SAIKAI) were CO's
of two units that were functioning better than the baseline ASR units of
the last year. Not satisfied with that they worked together towards a goal
of building one strong unit out of those two - a unit that would have the
opportunity to be one of ASR's strongest, most vital units.

Ed and Anna warrant appreciation and recognition for being committed
to making the effort to provide an interesting opportunity for people who
want to interact with more than 2 other people. Developing
Starbase Saikai into a unit that provides opportunities for
interaction and adventure and fun is an ongoing process. ANNA CORDRAY
deserves special recognition for her willingness to merge her unit
with Ed's and take the second in command role of the Starbase. She
has worked endlessly with the new CO to assist in making the station
unit ready to RP in a week and a half, and was instrumental in some
of the harder details of the merger and in bringing the station
billet status to 75%.

Rafe Cabrero (OPS, USS KUSANAGI)- Mr. Cabrero's unique creative
flair has helped KUSANAGI to explore new frontiers in writing and
examine complex and well-developed stories.

Reginald McKamie (Task Force SIERRA)- Mr. McKamie has been a central
figure to story development in Task Force SIERRA. He has been the
motivating factor for many of the writers in the unit, drawing them
into the story.

Kevin Thigpen (XO, USS FEARLESS)- Mr. Thigpen has been a major
influence and driving force in the FEARLESS soty. His dedication to
the unit and ASR is without bounds as he regularly drives himself
and others to post. His hard work and dedication are appreciate by
all of his fellow writers.

Jeffery Trock (XO, USS NOVA)- Mr. Trock has long brought his special
touch to NOVA. Or should that be that the XO is touched in the head?
His character, Jack Danger, brings a unique flair that manages to
motivate and entertain at the same time in a way that is truly
unique and brings life and fun to the writing environment.

OUTSTANDING PLAYER AWARD:
=========================

Kevin Thigpen (CNS, USS KIROV) continues to be the dominant force on
KIROV. He has taken a substantial role in plot development and
character interaction and is recognized for his sustained enthusiasm
and creativity. He is adept at moving the plot while ensuring that
all are involved. Kevin is truly a team player.

Mike Noorman (COU, USS NEBULA)- It was extremely hard to nominate
one person this time around. However, Mike Noorman has helped bring
the ship to a new high in posting rate, creativity, and fun. His
posts are always invaluable to further the plot along, while
containing lots of activity for everyone. He is unselfish in his
posts, and is always willing to help pass on information about his
character, or to assist in furthering the plot. His posts are always
a joy to read and are always excellent. Mike is an invaluable member
of the NEBULA team.

Wesley Sterner (COU, USS YORKTOWN) joined the YORKTOWN a few months
ago, during a very rough time. But through it all he still hung in
there with the unit, and posted under the most adverse conditions.

Lena Rose (CMO, USS COVENTRY/SB SAIKIA; COU, USS CIRCE)- Took the
reigns of several characters after their writers went silent. One
of two writers carrying the story for COVENTRY. Always looking for
ways to improve the storyline and to inject interesting twists and
turns when ever she can. Additionally, Ms. Rose is the consummate
team player: she writes a tone of JP's, picks up hooks left by
others, and draws others into her writing. She is a fixture on CIRCE
whose contributions bring richness and depth to the unit.

Dean Winslow (FCO, USS KRONSHTADT)- Created an unanticipated
development in the shore leave storyline in San Francisco - an
earthquake in the Bay area - that sparked several writers to react
to that disaster responding with excellent posts from their
character's perspective; some that showed how a local tragedy could
impact people in other parts of the world, and some that showed how
those local tragedies so important to the locals are but footnotes
to other some in other regions.

Scott Ramos (ENGXO, USS AMBERJACK)- Scott's characters are the glue
that hold the rest of the crew together. His characters always
provide the focus and the common sense that some of the characters
lose in the face of danger and adversity.

Antje Bechtoldt (TAC, USS NOVA; OPS, USS DAEDALUS)- Ms. Bechtoldt is
an inspiration to captain and crew alike. Her creative vision and
boundless energy bring out the best in her fellow writers.

Jenna Povey (ENG, USS KUSANAGI)- Ms. Povey is commended for her
tireless dedication to KUSANAGI. She has been the central writer in
the story of the ship and has continuously encouraged the best
efforts in others.

HONORS TO RETIRED PERSONNEL:
============================
Scott Lusby (CINCSF)- Mr. Lusby is the first person in the history
of the club to serve two discontinuous terms in the chief executive
position. He has been a tireless leader, always willing to do
anything to support the club and its efforts to be a successful
shared-writing environment. Without his contributions, the club
would be a poorer place.

Andrew Catterick (CSFO)- Mr. Catterick came into the role of CSFO in
a difficult time, and immediately brought a calming stability to the
BUPERS office. His steady hand as a veteran senior administrator was
invaluable as we transitioned away from ALB and into a direct-admission
club. His advice and counsel during his 6 months on the job were of
great value.
