TACFLEET Notes

One of the latest designs to come out of Kzinti space, the SLASHING TALON-Class was first spotted in 2414. Fast, with powerful weapons, the type has the sublight speed to outrun any Heavy Cruiser currently in Federation Service. The type has been observed at various places on the edges of Kzinti space, most noticeably in the Hoth System, in orbit around the planet Daryoon. The one Starfleet vessel to face this type in battle, the USS Tian'anmen NCC 2688-C, was unable to penetrate its shields even while it was able to damage and destroy other, older types.

While it carries a standard warp propulsion system and power system, its D-Warp, Normal-space engine(s) and Shield-type are unknown and each system seems significantly more capable than earlier models.
