TACFLEET Notes
The Tholian Beryl-Class Destroyer is another recent addition to the Tholian Fleet. Relatively fast at warp by Tholian standards, its real strength lies in its speed in normal space. The Beryl-Class is quite simply, the fastest ship in the Tholian Fleet.
This allows the ship to dictate the terms of the engagement against most alien ships. With its swift acceleration & high maneuverability, it can race into weapons range, fire, maneuver evasively and retreat before enemy fire can find it.
A four-pointed star shape, the Beryl can fire a torpedo from each of its four arms and can fire a phaser from between each arm. Its gravitic planing drive allows it to turn and outmaneuver almost any other vessel or weapon.
