USS Fenrir Vingólf Ceremonial Lounge

Overview

Every VALHALLA-class Battlecruiser in service within Starfleet is equipped with a special space to cater for its peculiar Diplomatic needs and requirements. This space, usually allocated on Deck 5 (depending on the final internal configuration), comprises a spacious finely decorated lounge able to accommodate large group of people for various kind of events.

Like all its sister ships of the class, the USS Fenrir Ceremonial Lounge, named Vingólf, is decorated in a Nordic/Viking style to reflect the namesake of the vessel.

Numerous ancient Earth relics, mostly from Northern Europe, and various alien artefacts adorn the wooden walls of the Lounge and all together are there to tell the past, present and future story of the Fenrir.

Access to the Lounge is reserved for very special events only, and under direct order of the highest commanding officers aboard.

Facilities

The Vingólf Ceremonial Lounge is provided with numerous and adjustable seating arrangement, able to accommodate a wide number of guests. Special life-support system controls also widen the array of available atmospheric settings configurable in the room.

Replicators system are present, but adjacent to the Lounge there are kitchen facilities able to cater for freshly prepared food.

Namesake

The name Vingólf is usually thought to be composed of vinr (friend) and gólf (floor, hall) and mean something like "pleasant hall". Alternatively the name could be read Víngólf and the meaning would be "wine hall".
