Background Summary

Melabra is one of those worlds that might be legitimately called a
'wretched hive of scum and villainy'. Technically within the
Federation, but located in such a galactic backwater that it has
few visitors, it is known within that sector as a 'Sin City', and
occasionally as a base for pirates.

Kelira was the jewel of the Gold Star Club...in which the dancers
often offered other services to patrons. The jewel because she was
Orion...and the de facto madam, the male owners of the club would do
her very bidding. Until, that is, she got pregnant...and died
birthing a son.

In her absence, the Gold Star went from a place where the dancers
were treated as valued employees to one in which they were little
more than slaves. Timon, Kelira's son, was also treated as...a slave.
The owners hoped that he would grow up into a big, intimidating man
who could be used in security, but for right now, he was a child.
Property, and educated only a minimum amount, but mostly left to his
own devices.

Then, when Timon was ten, the Gold Star burned to the ground. Quite a
few of the girls were killed. The owner was also killed...and there was
some indication it wasn't by the fire. Either way, Timon was left on
the streets and on his own. He had long resorted to begging and petty
thievery, and to running whatever errands he could persuade somebody to
pay him for. He used this to survive.

Until the ship came. Melabra was still Federation...albeit forgotten and
neglected much of the time. When somebody decided to do something about
it, they sent the destroyer, the USS Colin Powell, to check on what was
going on. It's commanding officer was Commander Jason St. Lawrence.

Melabra had atmospheric anomalies that interfered with transporters. And
suddenly, St. Lawrence found himself faced with an odd problem. A stowaway.
At first he thought the boy was about fourteen, but he rapidly adjusted
Timon's age downward on talking to him. Eleven or twelve, Orion human
hybrid, no place to go. Melabra itself would have to wait...and the
Federation would force no solutions on it. This boy he could help.

Not himself, mind. Jason was thirty-three and married to his ship, like so
many Captains, and a destroyer was no place for a ship. But he had an older
brother, Charles, who lived on the agricultural colony of New Hope, with
his wife. They were childless, and quite willing to take Timon on.

So, the street kid from Melabra became a farm kid on New Hope. He was
formally adopted some months later...but the adjustment was not easy.
Civilizing him was an uphill struggle...complicated by the fact that six
months after Timon arrived, Tanya St. Lawrence, against all the odds...got
pregnant. In addition to learning a culture, Timon had to learn another
new role: Big brother.

He was smart, though. Smart enough to rapidly learn that three square meals
and a reliable roof that did not leak was worth what they asked of him. And
once he had learned to read, the galaxy opened up to him. If he hadn't been
smart, he wouldn't have survived. Now he began to apply that to learning
about the wider universe. His life was not easy. New Hope was not the most
cosmopolitan of planets and he was the only non-human in his class. His skin
color attracted negative attention, and his size...he seemed to have picked
up the size of an Orion male in full measure...made people assume he would
be a 'jock'. In fact, he even was on the high school team as a defensive
lineman.

Yet, he did not want to be a farmer. Aria, his sister was the one who loved
the land, and besides, she was born to it. He was quite happy to say that she
should get the farm when the time came, but that left the question of what he
should do. He wanted to go to college...but not on New Hope. He wanted to go
somewhere where he would meet different people. The St. Lawrence's were well
off...but not that well off. It was, of course, his uncle, Jason, who made
the suggestion. Why didn't he consider StarFleet?

And he considered it. Plenty of chance to meet different people, if he got in,
it would be decent money, reliable if he didn't screw up. At the back of his
head, too...fleet people made a difference.

It took him two attempts to pass the academy entrance exam, but that was not
uncommon. The aptitude tests revealed surprisingly good reflexes for such a
big man, and he went in on a security MOS...his size, once more, pigeonholing
him, but this time he didn't mind.

He did reasonably well in the academy. Not close to the top of his class, but
above average. His reputation, though, was of a man who was 'More StarFleet
than StarFleet', compensating for the reactions some had by trying to be the
perfect cadet and the perfect officer. His instructors knew this attitude
would survive about one mission in the field, but could do little to persuade
him of the fact. He would have to learn it, as others had, the hard way. His
cadet cruise did help a little, but then he graduated.

He was assigned to the light cruiser Ariadne in the security department, under
a tough but fair woman named Charlene Hall. She taught him to stop seeing
things in such black and white. And regular reminders that size was not
everything, the petite Lieutenant regularly dropping him to the mat in spars.
He came to respect her...and to understand that sometimes one had to be a
maverick to get things done. When she was transferred...to a station ops
position...she recommended him as security chief in her stead.

He took the position, and a promotion, and proceeded to do his best to be
twice as good as anyone else in the position. Charlene had never held his
past against him, but some did. Even the Ariadne's Captain, John Jameson,
was unsure about the man, although he never let his feelings affect St.
Lawrence's reviews. Timon flourished, in other words, yet he found himself
less and less happy.

He was still being viewed as a big, not overly bright man. The fact that he
resembled nothing so much as a Syndicate thug colored people's opinions of
him. He set out to change this. First, by obtaining a Masters degree in
military history by correspondence. Second, by taking, and passing the
command tests. Which is why when the Ariadne's XO was killed in action...
Jameson promoted the operations officer to XO and, despite his prejudices,
his chief of security to ops.

The taste of command was enough. Timon had a new goal in life. His own ship.
Not that he would push. But he would be good enough, he resolved, to earn his
command in due time. Hopefully without anyone else having to die for him to
get there. Sometimes, though, we don't get what we want.

Timon left the Ariadne for the Furious seven years ago. It was a promotion...
to executive officer. And the atmosphere was very different. The Furious was
commanded by T'Ler. A Vulcan woman. She did not try to run the ship under full
Vulcan command protocols. Yet, she was still Vulcan. Utterly logical, a firm
believer in IDIC. They made a surprisingly good team. Good enough that Timon
was in no rush to leave. Although he had not given up on his own ship.
Besides, there was another complication.

Her name was Nikita Lennon. She was the Furious' Counselor, and the two fell
very deeply in love. Two years ago, they were married. Now any assignment he
took...would have to include her. He was the happiest he had ever been in his
life.

Fate was against him.

The Furious was a warship, plain and simple. She went into dangerous places,
she got into and out of scrapes. T'Ler got out of scrapes sometimes by force,
often by diplomacy and the cool application of logic. Few Vulcans command
warships, but she did so and did so well. Until she made a bad, very bad mistake.

The Furious also did first contact missions. Especially ones that had a chance
of going wrong. The one with the Le'rkat went very wrong indeed. Renegade
Klingons had been supplying them with arms and warp drive. They found themselves
facing the same tactic, ironically, the Vulcans had used against the Orions
many, many years ago...tiny, fast ships that swarmed the Furious. T'Ler had
tried everything to stop them from attacking. Yet she had inadvertently also
offered insult.

The Furious had had its shields down. Timon had not been on the bridge, but on
his way there when they had concentrated fire on the upper part of the saucer.
The bridge and several other compartments were vented to space. Captain T'Ler
was killed instantly. Timon managed to get to the auxiliary bridge. He took
command of the half-crippled ship, managed to destroy many of the Le'rkat
fighters and get out of the system...and limp to the nearest starbase at warp 1.

Nikita St. Lawrence had been on the bridge...three months pregnant with their
first child. When Timon found out, he smashed what was left of his quarters...
and then spoke to nobody for the rest of the way home. In that quiet solitude,
he vented his grief...and recovered his sanity.

The Furious was an older ship, and the damage she had taken was extreme. Star
Fleet elected to decommission her and replace her rather than repair and refit.
Timon was given three months of shore leave...which he spent with his wife's
family. On his recall, he was given the Furious' commissioning plaque as her
last commander, even if it had only been for a few weeks...and then marching
orders to Starbase Beta for reassignment.

Skills Profile:

Timon started his StarFleet career in security. He is also a qualified pilot,
both of small craft and full-sized starships. In addition, he holds an MA in
military history, obtained by correspondence from the University of Michigan.
He speaks a number of languages to some degree, and is fluent in both Orion and
Vulcan. He is a more than competent hand to hand fighter...not merely a brawler,
but familiar with martial arts techniques. His diplomatic skills are solid,
although he tends towards techniques that rely somewhat on intimidation; he is
not above using his size and appearance to his and StarFleet's advantage. As a
qualified command officer, he has some familiarity with the basics of other
departments. However, he does not have a great amount of scientific knowledge,
tending to defer to others in that regard.

Fitness Report:

It is my judgement that Commander St. Lawrence has made close to a full recovery
from the events of the Furious incident; however, I still recommend some continued
counseling. He is, however, fit for duty and command. He has always been a solid
officer, although he can sometimes interpret StarFleet regulations a little bit
too strictly at times.

He has, thankfully, a healthy attitude towards his own mental health; he is not
above letting out his feelings, but always in a controlled manner...he makes much
use of the holodeck in this regard. He expects respect from those under him, but
he gives it in return. He is not always a likeable man, but he never treats
anyone wrongly or unfairly. He can, however, be a little defensive when he feels
he is being viewed either as primarily his race or his size.

Psychological Profile:

Timon St. Lawrence is one of those big men who knows full well how much control
he has to keep over his negative emotions. Although he has a temper, it takes
extreme circumstances for it to come out in public; although he enjoys a fight
at times, he is careful to restrict this to the holodeck or to people who he
knows share such enjoyment. A lot of the time, he comes over at least as gentle
but firm. He is strict but fair with underlings, always showing respect to
those above him unless they do something not to deserve it.

He is an honest man to a fault...that is to say, he can sometimes be blunt. He
is also far more inclined to give his opinions of others to their face than
gossip about them behind their back. He respects more somebody who defends him
or herself, than somebody who takes bad things said about them as read.

He is utterly tolerant, and expects utter tolerance. Bigotry of any kind is one
of the few things that will get him riled, and he has a record of delivering
very scathing lectures to officers who express negative opinions about others
based on 'Those things, none of us can help' as he himself would say. This is
probably due to the teasing he received in school because of his accent (mostly
gone), skin color and size. He can, in fact, be somewhat defensive when comments
about those factors are made.

Although he is very definitely a military man, he tries to live by the philosophy
of 'Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent'. Fighting (With the exception
of recreational sparring) is what you do when all else fails. He can, in fact, be
very nice, especially to people he genuinely likes or has to work with closely.
His diplomacy is a rough and ready sort, but it is there.

Recreational Interests

Timon is a physical man when it comes to his pursuits. He does enjoy fighting...in
the sense of a nice, controlled brawl with somebody who shares the same interest.
As a result, some of his closest friends over the years have been Klingons. He is
also something of an outdoorsman...he enjoys hiking, orienteering and mountain
climbing. Especially with a friend or two...he considers a strenuous hike to be a
great way to get to know somebody.

Miscellaneous Information

This is, yes, the character I and Scott discussed. He's got a bit of a...different
background, but tends to *not* be a maverick...he tends, if anything, to over-react

Richard Bennet Ra'tleihfi tr'Llweii (Nveid ) was born to parents 
David and Sienae Bennet Ra'tleihfi tr'Llweii in Barrow Alaska. His 
father, David Bennet, a full human was an Ambassador for Starfleet 
who was assigned in Barrow Alaska. His mother, Siene, a Romulan, 
was a homemaker who homeschooled her children until they were twelve 
years old. Then he and his siblings attended Fairbanks Academy. From 
the time he was born his mother spoke three languages to her children, 
English, Romulan (Rihannsu or Sav'lesta and Rom'lesta or Havrannsu) 
and Vulcan. 

His mother came from Noble House of Llweii. The family spoke predominant 
Rihannsu but spoke Rom'lesta as well as it is the langauge of the 
people, and is spoken by the majority of the Romulan people, and in 
particular by the natives of Ch'Havran. 

In a Romulan family both mother and father have equal status both in 
the family and society. Although Richard as a male child was favored, 
his sisters were not considered second class citizens. The lessons of 
mnhei'sahe were taught and learned properly from birth.

The formal education of Richard and his siblings was done under the 
strict auspices of a highly-learned tutor. They recieved basic education 
in the sciences, the arts, literature, and mandatory military service. 
They were tutored in the proper forms of address for adults, equals, 
superiors and servants. Most of all important concepts of honor, respect, 
duty, strength, service to the Federation and the Empire.

Over the millenium since the Rihannsu split from the Vulcans, the 
circadian rhythm of ch'Rihan and ch'Havran have changed the 7-year cycle.  
Richard, Rihannsu males, no longer endured Ponn Farr.

When Richard was Twelve he was sent to Fairbanks Military Academy. He 
exccelled in his academics and graduated with honors. Then he joined 
Starfleet Academy just like his father. Once again he brought pride and 
honor to the family.

He met and fell in love with Lorelai Matthews on his tour of duty on USS 
TEMPEST. The couples d'anna - marriage - known as the 'Great Joining' was 
performed by the Captain of the TEMPEST.

They honeymooned on Rom'lasz - known to the Federation as Romulus the 
planet known as 'Home of the People' of Cf ch'Rihan where Richard's 
hru'diranov -grandfather and hru'nanov- grandmother and as well as the 
rest of his mothers clan reside in the Noble House of Llweii.

Normally When a man takes a wife, he also takes her name and becomes a 
member of her house, sworn to uphold it against all enemies. The only 
exception to this scenario is if the wife has no family. In that case 
SHE would take the husband’s name and join his family. In Lorelai case 
she was human and an orphan and therefore she took Richard's name and 
joined his family.

The Rihannsu are a passionate and close-knit people. Marriages are forever 
and are not entered into without serious consideration. There is no word 
for divorce in the Rihannsu Language.

Divorce and separation are extremely uncommon within Rihannsu families 
because the bond between the husband and wife is so very deep that the 
possibility of divorce and separation never enters their minds. A typical 
Rihannsu family is very happy and devoted to each other, united by the 
common bond of love and commitment.

After their first year of marriage the couple had twin daughters Keelie 
and Kaylani. They had now become a family much to everyone delight. 
Becoming a husband and father changed Richard into the man he became. It 
was no longer about the rise in position and becoming a Captain, instead 
it became more about family and peace. 

When Richard was offered the XO position on SB Orestes, he didn't have to 
think twice about bring his growing family. This was more than he could 
have hoped for. To raisie a family on a Starbase would give his family 
more stability as well as bring him closer to his clan men and if he 
could help make a difference that would the icing on the cake.

Personal/Family History:
  Hadley Jones was born on Earth's Antarctic shelf, the son of a 
physician and a nuclear chemist.  As a child, he showed an exceptional 
aptitude towards memorization.  As such, his parents taught him to 
read at an early age, subsequently force-feeding him with every book, 
list, manual, and encyclopedia they could acquire, regardless if he 
could understand what he was absorbing.  Despite the wealth of 
knowledge surrounding him, his favorite pastime was simply sitting at 
a window, staring at the stars.

  At age seven, he was so adept at repeating verbatim whatever he'd 
previously incorporated that his parents began to travel abroad, 
showcasing him to scholars, scientists, and even political dignitaries.  
However, in his late teens, Hadley began to exhibit signs of eccentric 
behavior including sudden, emotional outbursts and moments of inability 
to concentrate.  Within months, he succumbed to a mental/emotional 
breakdown and was hospitalized in a near-catatonic state.  A medical 
and psychological team, including Human, Vulcan, Ullian and Betazoid 
specialists were finally able to stabilize him, and in time teach him 
to structure his conscious mind in relation to his emotional state and 
the burdening weight of his knowledge and memories.  Eventually, he 
went on to study graduate-level astronomy in Greece and then in 
Starfleet.

  Despite his daily struggles, his only other period of debilitating 
mental trauma came at the death of his two-year old daughter.  
Regardless, his wife remains an emotionally stabilizing force in his 
life and as such, Jones has been given special dispensation from 
Starfleet Medical to allow his wife to be resident with him at any 
duty assignment regardless of her civilian status.

Psychological Profile:
  Hadley Jones is both blessed and cursed with a near-perfect 
memory.  Although the mechanism is not completely understood, it's 
believed that he was born with a metabolism deficiency in his short-
term memory.  As a result, all of his sensory inputs are immediately 
shunted to his long-term memory--in essence, he suffers from an 
inability to forget.  On the positive side, he remembers everything 
he has ever read, seen, felt, smelled, tasted and heard in perfect 
clarity.  Conversely, he is literally unable to forget everything he 
wishes he could.  Every noxious smell that once burned his nostrils, 
every blood-curdling scream from his past, every hurtful remark that 
he immediately regretted saying are his constant companions.  
Understandably, Jones' mental and emotional states are somewhat less 
stable than the norm.  Due to his unusual mental ability, his 
subconscious mind virtually floods his consciousness with memories at 
a constant rate.  With such a continual mental barrage, it would be 
nearly impossible for him to react to the outside world without solid 
mental barriers that he has built over time.

  Currently, his memories could be described as "white noise" in the 
back of his mind, always present and accessible, but not so prevalent 
that he is unable to distinguish past experiences from present sensory 
stimuli.  However, his emotions play a key role in his stability.  In 
general, strong emotional responses can be described as "clouding" 
normal human thought, but in Jones' case, the effect is far more 
pronounced.  Extreme emotions, especially negative, can cause his 
mental barriers to weaken, and if uncontrolled, lead to a deluge of 
past regrets, failures and traumas as was the case in his daughter's 
passing.

system.  With these in place, he is within the realm of fitness for 
Starfleet service.

  Ensign Jones is as physiologically healthy as any average member of 
Starfleet.  Due to his unique brain activity, he has a slightly

  During a recent away team mission, LT Jones suffered a concussion 
including minor trauma to the hippocampus.  As a result, he has shown

long-term can only be speculative at this point but, considering his 
mental abilities, I would not expect it to be anything more than 
temporary.

Despite his daily struggle against his personal 'demons', I've never 
had reason to doubt his ability as an officer, his loyalty, or his

cleanup crewman during the aftermath of the Jittula IV massacre.  
Knowing that he would permanently see some truly disturbing things on 
the planet, he still wouldn't deign to shirk his duty when he felt it

  Here's a simplified version of what to expect from Lt Hadley Jones.  He 
is of average height, average weight, average looks--a little thin, but not 
skinny.  He is married, so when he's off duty, if he's not with his wife, 
you might find him in the near a window, staring at the stars or by himself

at Starfleet difficult, there were some incidences, that she

The middle of 2416, Alexa decided to take a LOA from Starfleet, she
spent the time on Earth focusing on her future and taking additional
classes in Communications. When the time came, Alexa returned to
Starfleet, ready to work.

Her new assignment was the USS Navicula, under the direction of
Captain Jacob Sterling, the young woman would serve as a Junior
Communication Analysist. Here, Alexa continued to work hard and while
she did have a distant tone in her general personality, she still
could manage a friendly exterior most of the time. l Donovan from her
life, she used it to do her best, to make that extra effort. Alexia
would go on to  prove her worth in several combat situations while on

Fallon tends to be loaner since the death of his wife. He is currently estranged from
his son who is currently working for a private contractor with Starfleet. 

As with most members of his species, he is an excellent listener. This is one of the 
reasons Special Operations recruited him. It is rumored that the reason for his court 
martial was actually related to an incident involving the renegade Section 31.

He tends to be very cool under pressure and never raises his voice. The more upset he 
is the quieter he becomes. He is a master in multiple martial arts disciplines. Its 
rumored he has acheived the status of a Klingon Da'har Master but he has never 
confirmed nor denied these rumors. When asked about this he tends to just look at you 
as if you had just belched and not said excuse me.

The Kavenagh family line is a military one, Brandon's father,
Drake, served in Starfleet as a Security Officer, as had his
father before him. There were no great heroes in the line but
there has been a long, consistent history of loyal service which
set the tone for his upbringing.

His mother, Emma's side of the family claimed a great British
naval tradition and even claimed to be able to trace the family
back nearly 700 years to the famous Admiral Horatio Nelson
providing yet another legacy to live up to.

Following Tradition, Aiden entered Starfleet Academy as soon as
he was able. His younger brother, William, followed him to the
academy but decided to follow a medical career rather than a
military one.

Brandon took to Starfleet like a duck to water. He consistently
earned a place in the top 3rd of his classes despite some criticism
that he was unimaginative and always went 'by the book'

Unfortunately, When Brandon was 23, Drake Kavenagh would be killed
in the line of duty during the Dalriadan war. After his passing,
Emma seemed to lose a large part of her interest in life and now
lives alone, occupying her time with raising rare orchids. While
Brandon himself became more resolute in his ambitions to honor his
Father's memory.

His cadet cruise was a breeze, assigned as a junior security officer
to a well run starship he learnt the job without his abilities or
training ever being challenged.

When the 2nd Klingon/Federation war broke out, Brandon was thrown
into his first real assignment, he was posted on a Raider. During
this time, he assited the CSO in handling the basics of ships
security, conducted hit and run strikes on enemy positions and
mediated the occasional domestic dispute or crewmen who might have
overindulged on shoreleave. Things were not all so simply though;
Brandon found himself in the heart of combat and fighting for his
life, during special security missions. This taught him more
confidence and he quickly took to improvising and creating new
tactical procedtures which were used in the field. He even received
a couple of commendations for his actions as well as a couple of
injuries.

Despite seeing Klingons as the enemy, Kavenagh came to appreciate
the alien warriors as talented and skilled adversaries, he went as
far as even submerging himself in their combat techniques.

Ironically, during this period of hostilities, his brother who was
assigned on a medical frigit, was killed in action when his ship was
destroyed by Klingon forces. The news that William had been killed
in action, hit Brandon harder than he expected it to, still he
disciplined himself and carried on in his duties. Although, one of
the side-effects that began to surface was that the young cadet began
'blowing off steam' while on shore leave, drinking, gambling and even
brawling on occasion.

Since the end of the war, his career has progressed well although he
has a reputation as a stickler for protocol while on duty and another
as a wildcat when off-duty.

B. Background Summary: 
======================

All dates are approximate 


Tostynjhar was hatched in 2249, during the height of
what is called the Clan Wars.  It was a dangerous
time, the Dezeld seperated by "color" and philosophy. 
Such had been going on for millenia, but it had
finally come to a head in what can be concidered their
version of "World War 3"  The Golds were lucky as to
be seperated from most of the battle.  Tostynjhar was
inducted into the 22nd Air wing in 2289.  In Dezeld,
once you are part of a proffession, you didnt leave
it, and it was to be your lives work.  Tostynjhar took
this to heart, as the Clan of Red attacked the heart
of their home in 2291.  In 12 years of battle,
Tostynjhar in over 200 skirmishes, and won 148, but
each time able to return home, and be prepared to
fight the next day.  He was promoted, and assigned his
own line, 2 months after the end of the Clan Wars. 
His line was responsible for the defence of the 23
clans, when a rouge group attacked, trying to disrupt
the procedings that would have put an end to the Clan
wars once and for all,and join them all into a single 
govenrment.  During this fight, his wingman gave his life, 
in the defence of a red dragon named Thelareos, the first 
time a gold has ever gave their life in defence of a red.  
This would prove to be the catalyst to bring together the 
two most opposing factions. 

 The Air wings were joined together as one, and
practiced together, out of tradition.  This proved to
be beneficial as the Kovoulds attacked in the year
2390.  Tostynjhar, now a Wing Commander, lead his
forces of mixed Dezeld into a long, drawn out war. 
They were at a disadvantage, the Kovoulds in planetary 
fighters, with the Dezeld only with themselves.  They 
managed to push back the invaders in 2402, but not before 
they destroyed most of the nesting grounds. 

With the Dezeld having egg cycles of 50 years, it
would take another 200 years to counteract the loss of
Dezeld in the war. 

Time was something they did not have, as Tostynjhar
called his wing back to battle in 2415.  The Kovould
were back, but this time, the Dezeld had weaposn of
their own.  Ships, designed to be no bigger than the
Dezeld, and to use their own body movements to power,
proved to be better defence.  This war lasted till
2437, the Kovoulds having brought a much larger fleet.
 The win came with a price, as the Kovoulds appeared
to have poisoned the sun, setting it up for a runaway
failure of the stars core.  They had 95 years to
discover a solution, and warp capable ships were a
long way off.  Tostynjhars forces continued to train9
years after the second war, Tostynjhar was promoted to
Division Commander, in charge of several wings.

Dezeld in 2417]] 

In 2493, the Kovoulds returned, with an armada.  After
the Dezeld turned away the offer of surrender, they
fought once more.  using coordinated effort, the
armada was destroyed, but it cost the lives of every
Dezeld in the Air wings.  Tostynjhar survived, but his
wings were damaged beyond repair, he would never fly
again.  In 2494, he was one of only 300 Dezeld left
alive.  In 2495, he was assigned to a team to work on
the production of an artificial woormdrive creator,
which had its sucessful test in 2498. 

In 2506, he worked on reverse engineering a Federation
Shuttle that was pulled to them during one of their
wyrmdrive tests. He discovered amethod of using the
shuttles transporter and information stored about
holodeck technology to discover a way of "storing" the
dezelds remaining biological data, to be recombined
later.  This was similar to pre-transporter days where
the same effect was caused by destroying the original
on this end, and sending information on how to
reconstruct it on the other end.  In 2509, he was the
first to go through the process.  He awoke in the year
2418, on a planet called Draakin III, their new home.

Tostynjhar has several old injuries consistant to a
270 year old sky veteran.  The most prominant is the
lack of complete wing membrane, resulting in his lack
of ability to fly under his own power.  His other
injuries, though left scars, do not appear to  hinder
his abilities to function as a member of our society.

At 270 years, he would concidered to be a young adult
by human standards, though like all Dezeld, age isnt a
factor for longentivity. It is estimated he has
another 500 years before his mental state begins to
break down, causing him to become more reckless

A. The Great War
----------------
::All dates have been converted to Starfleet Standard 

The Dezeld, though theoretically capable of warp
travel, were content to remain in their own system,
feeling that if there were other lifeforms out there,
they would be better off seen as not a threat. 

This changed in SD 2390, when a race known as the
Kevoulds began an attack on the planet.  For the first
time since the joining of the clans in 2304, the Air
Wings were activated. 

Flesh against metal, breath against phasors, the odds
were against the Dezeld, yet they were able to push
away the initial assault, though to great loss to the
Dezeld forces. 

For 25 years, there was no word from the Kevoulds, yet
the Dezeld knew that they could not wait.  Using
damaged Kevould ships, they began to increase thier
research, and begun the task of creating space capable 
warships.  When the Kevould returned in 2415, the Dezeld 
were ready, fighting in one man aerial fighers to push 
back the invadors once more. 

It was theorized that at this time, the Kevould were 
responsible for the greatest threat to face the Dezeld. 

Thier sun began to fail.  Dezeld scientists were at a
loss to explain the sudden drop of nuclear activity,
but all studies were conclusive. 

The Dezeld had only 95 years. 

Their entire civilization on the line, all energy was
given to the job of leaving thier home. 
Unfortunately, Warp was still out of reach, unable to
locate proper fuel on thier planet.  In 2493, the
Kevould returned once more, and sent an ultimatum..
Give up, or the sun would be doomed.  The Dezeld
fought back one last time, every force they could
muster. Once more, they pushed back the invaders, yet
their population suffered from the war.  With only 300
left, and thier warp development centers destroyed,
all seemed lost.  In 2495, it was discovered they
could travel beyond warp, creating artificial
wormholes, with fuel their planet had. Yet time itself
was running out 

In 2506, A Federation shuttle carrying a human
teenager by the name of Valareos Draconrouge appeared,
and changed everything.  Thier blood was given to him,
to ensure thier genetic code at least would pass on. 
The remaining 300 used the shuttles transporter to
convert themselves to a matter/energy matrix, and then
digitize the information in a portable holocube, then
sent Valareos back home via the wormhole generator. 
Due to a small miscalculation, they returned to the
wrong universe, in the year 2409 

Their survival was ensured, when they were
rematerialized in 2418, and given the Draakin system
to rebuild
