Focus on the Federation

  • TO: Starfleet Personnel, Diplomatic Corps, and Staff
  • FROM: Dr. J.P. Mossane, Former UFPESCO Secretary
  • RE: Civilizations Database

Greetings from the new Director of UFPESCO. As I'm sure you know, the Civilizations and Cultures database is imperative for the collection and analysis of data for Starfleet and Federation Diplomacy Corps use. I must apologize for the status of the current database; due to the lengthy transition between Sky-in-the-Moon and my administration, many races have been left unprocessed.

We would like to ask you, the front lines of our investigation into this wonderful Universe, to continue to send detailed information to our offices regarding the new life discovered, whether Federation members, pre-First Contact, associate systems, or other more mysterious sentient life-beings.

We are actively searching bright people who are interested in working with us, either full-time or part-time, on our cataloging process. It is of the utmost urgency that we continue to work on catching up with our current cache of backlogged data, and then to aggressively pursue avenues through Starfleet logs and other data sources.

Thank you for your continued support of this important venture.

Cordially yours, Dr. J.P. Mossane Secretary, United Federation of Planets Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization
