Blue Fleet Unit Patches and Other Artwork

Fleet Command

Gamma patch wht.png

The patch for Blue Fleet, found on coffee mugs and conference room walls all over Starbase Gamma.

The symbology of the patch embodies much of Blue Fleet's history. She was the first fleet to be created as an administrative unit in ASR. The "Gold Fleet," although seldom named as such, was considered to be the original fleet. So the Gold and Blue rays symbolize the formation of those two fleets from one another. Since a large contingent of Indigo Fleet came from Blue Fleet when it was formed, the ray to the top is indigo in color. The blue-white star to the left represents Gamma Orionis, aka Bellatrix, the home of Blue Fleet Command Starbase Gamma. The orange star at the bottom represents Herod, the location of the joint Romulan-Federation DS-12 and a wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant. The cluster of three stars at the right represents the three stars of the Gideon Tri-cluster, home of the Blue-Gold Joint Task Force and Point Gideon Station.

USS Fearless

Explicit Nomen

Draft of the new unit patch for the USS Fearless. Based upon the old British Royal Navay seal for the HMS Fearless. Likewise, the motto is based upon that of the HMS Fearless. The motto means, "The name says it all."

USS Nova

"The light shines on in darkness, a darkness that did not overcome it."-Jn. 1, 5

The unit patch of the USS Nova. Note the incorporation of a nova-style starburst, as well as the different color stars in the patch, representing the different fleets Nova has been a part of since opening in ASR in 1991.

USS Persephone

"Sometimes you are the pidgeon... and sometimes you are the statue."

The unit patch for the re-born USS Persephone. In the middle of the patch the silouette of Persephone as the greek embodiment of the Earth's fertility and at the same time that Queen of the Underworld. The red border encircling the patch are a reminder of the time the original USS Persephone spent serving in the ranks of RED FLEET.
