Introduction
Green Fleet is headquartered at SB DELTA, which is in orbit above the planet Vulcan. Home to many of the Federation's Core Worlds, Green Fleet's mandate includes the 'centre' of the Federation but does have an open frontier with a border facing the 'Badlands.' And, as Green Fleet units are tasked with protection of the Core Worlds and maintaining the integrity of its borders, it has long been seen as fleet that is specifically military in nature.
DIVISIONS & TACRONS
- DEEP SPACE FOUR DIVISION - 150 parsecs away from SB DELTA and three lightyears from the Cardassian Trucial Zone on the border with the 'Badlands,' is Star Fleet's sole military, scientific and diplomatic presence in that area, DEEP SPACE STATION FOUR. USS KRONSHTADT and USS MACRONIN are role playing ships that have been redeployed from ODGREEN DIVISION to DEEP SPACE FOUR to help combat the increasing problems from pirates and opportunists in an area traditionally equivalent to the Federations 'wild, wild, western' front.
- TACRON 33 - SB DELTA DIVISION - Green Fleet's Tactical Squadrons consist of the Fleet's forward deployment units.
- TACRON 49 - SB DELTA DIVISION - Green Fleet's Tactical Squadron 49, also based out of GREEN HQ at Starbase Delta is another of GREEN FLEET's forward deployment divisions. TACRON-49's role playing ship, USS COVENTRY, is a Coventr=y-class Destroyer, and also deploys to various hotspots within the GREEN FLEET mandate.
- GIBRALTAR EXPEDITIONARY FORCE - Since the accidental discovery of the Gibraltar Wormhole by a merchant vessel in 2410, Green Fleet's role now has the added function of monitoring and exploring the new phenomenon. The Gibraltar Wormhole, apparently a constructed conduit between the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, presented the Federation with a new mystery to solve. SB GIBRALTAR was established to address this new challenge. The new starbase, a part of TACRON-47, serves as the base of operations for the Gibraltar Expeditionary Force (GIBXFOR), which includes the USS DAEDALUS role playing unit. GIBXFOR is tasked with exploring the other side of the Gibraltar Wormhole with the objective of collecting data on the region and finding out who created the wormhole and why.
- ODGREEN DIVISION (currently NPC)- the descendant of Star Fleet's post-Wolf 359 'Last Line of Defense' strategy, is tasked with the protection of the Federation's Core Worlds, within approximately 100 lightyears of the Terran System. The false perception of mundane patrols of this territory lead to the Olive Drab Green tag for this Division, which lead to the official designation of ODGREEN years ago. The npc ships of ODGREEN are deployed out of starbases in strategic locations within the Core Worlds region: SB SARRENTO, six parsecs from Terra towards Sigma Draconis; SB KENAI, six parsecs from Terra towards the Federation/Romulan Neutral Zone. ODGREEN DIVISION ships patrol Federation core space, responding to a variety of Starfleet objectives within that region.
