KRIMAXFOR's primary area of operation is in the Beta Quadrant, along the border shared with several powers: the re-unified Gorn Confederacy, the Echen F'don, and the Tholian Holdfast. In addition, the discovery of the Lehrren Alliance and the Woren Imperium through wormholes located in the Goliath Nebula and near Orestes have complicated cosmopolitical matters further. Finally, the destrcution of Deep Space 13 five years ago has led to a surge in pirating activities in several regions within KRIMA.
In short, KRIMA is as unpredicatbale as one would expect a region bordering three major foreign powers to be.
